Suns Cruise Past Bucks, 118-105, in Game 1 Win
The Phoenix Suns defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 118-105, at Phoenix Suns Arena on Tuesday night in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Suns lead the series, 1-0.

The Bucks (0-1) received a significant psychological boost prior to the opening tip, as Giannis Antetokounmpo went from doubtful with his hyperextended knee to available within a matter of hours. While the All-Star forward looked largely unaffected by his injury early, the Suns (1-0) still emerged from the opening period with a 30-26 advantage, and they'd managed to double up that four-point edge by halftime. However, it was the third quarter that turned the tide for good, as Phoenix extended its lead to 16 points entering the final period.

Khris Middleton paced the Bucks with 29 points, complementing them with seven rebounds and four assists. Antetokounmpo generated a 20-point, 17-rebound double-double that also included four assists, two steals and one block. Brook Lopez supplied 17 points, six rebounds, one assist and one block. Jrue Holiday registered 10 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

Chris Paul led the Suns with 32 points, adding nine assists, four rebounds and one steal. Devin Booker turned in 27 points, six assists, two rebounds and three steals. Deandre Ayton contributed a 22-point, 19-rebound double-double that included a steal. Mikal Bridges poured in 14 points. Cameron Johnson and Cameron Payne provided matching 10-point tallies, with Johnson adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The two teams reconvene for Game 2 at Phoenix Suns Arena on Thursday night.
