Suns Close It Out Late, Secure 2-0 Lead In NBA Finals
The Phoenix Suns defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 118-108, at Phoenix Suns Arena on Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night at Phoenix Suns Arena. The Suns are now leading the series by a 2-0 score.

The Suns and the Bucks played another tight contest in the NBA Finals, but just like it happened in Game 1 of the series, the Suns once again found a way to come out on top. However, it was Milwaukee that looked better early on and delivered a three-point lead following the first quarter (29-26), but that would be all the advantage they've had the rest of the way since Phoenix woke up just before the break and ran the Bucks out of the building with a 30-16 score in the second quarter. Even though the Bucks won the third quarter by a 33-32 score and that the third quarter was a 30-30 tie, the damage was already done. The Suns controlled the second half and pulled away every time the Bucks got close, and Milwaukee couldn't recover from the offensive dominance of Phoenix in the second quarter. As a result, the Suns now hold a 2-0 lead with the series shifting to Fiserv Forum on Sunday for Game 3.

Devin Booker was the best player for the Suns in Game 2 and finished with 31 points while also making quite a few clutch buckets in the fourth quarter, and Chris Paul also delivered a strong performance with 23 points and eight assists. Deandre Ayton had 10 points and 11 rebounds, but he also added four assists, three steals and two blocks. Jae Crowder also had a double-double (11 points, 10 boards) and Mikal Bridges impressed with 27 points and seven rebounds.

Giannis Antetokounmpo carried the Bucks after posting 42 points and 12 rebounds, but he lacked support from this teammates. Khris Middleton only had 11 points, and Jrue Holiday finished with 17 points and seven dimes despite shooting 33 percent from the field. Pat Connaughton had 14 points and four treys off the bench.
