Tristan Wirfs
25-Year-Old
Good to go for key Week 18 game
Wirfs (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation heading into Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
This is a big contest for the Buccaneers, as they can clinch the NFC South with a win over Carolina. As such, it's no surprise that Wirfs is pushing through a shoulder injury that kept him out of practice Wednesday. The talented tackle hasn't missed a contest this season.

Position still uncertain
Wirfs is expected to shift from right tackle to left tackle this season, but Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht indicated last week during an interview on 95.3 WDAE that no final decision about the position switch has been made yet, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports,
ANALYSIS
Part of the hesitation from the organization may come from not knowing exactly who would replace Wirfs, a two-time Pro Bowler at right tackle, at his old spot, although Luke Goedeke is considered the leading candidate after being a second-round pick in 2022. Left tackle opened up in Tampa Bay after Donovan Smith was released in March.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Wirfs has already validated his selection as the 13th overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft with his stellar play at right tackle, earning two Pro Bowl selections and one All-Pro nod as well over his first three seasons. The Iowa product is now taking his talents to the opposite side of the line at left tackle, where he'll have the all-important role of protecting his quarterback's blind side.

Adjusting well to new position
Wirfs' acclimation to his new position of left tackle is going smoothly thus far in training camp, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports. "He's adjusted well over there, I think," head coach Todd Bowles said. "There's probably still some kinks he needs to work out, probably when we get in pads, from a hand-placement standpoint, but I think he's done an excellent job so far."
