Jasika defeated Abdullah Shelbayh in the third round of the Australian Open qualifiers with a score of 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 on Friday.

Jasika came back from a set down to secure his place in the next round. The 26-year-old committed 17 unforced errors in the match, 20 fewer than his opponent. He won 66 percent service points as well. This will be Jasika's first appearance in the main draw of the Australian Open. His first-round opponent will be Poland's Hubert Hurkacz.
