Given new opponent
MiddleweightUFC
April 9, 2024
Pereira is scheduled to compete against Ihor Potieria in a middleweight fight at UFC 301, per Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com.
ANALYSIS
It did not even take one day to find Pereira a new opponent for UFC 301. It remains a homecoming in what will be the Brazilian's attempt at prolonging his winning streak to eight wins by defeating an opponent with a 20-5 MMA record but just 2-3 in the UFC.

Runs winning streak to seven
MiddleweightUFC
March 9, 2024
Pereira defeated Michal Oleksiejczuk via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:01 of Round 1 at UFC 299 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
Pereira began his evening by putting forth an awesome dance routine prior to his entrance, and Saturday he proceeded to put forth another dominant effort once the opening bell rang. Possessing unreal athleticism for a man his size, Pereira smashed Oleksiejczuk with a body kick and expertly took the back of his prone opponent, eventually choking him out. The finish would go on to win him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. The Brazilian has now won seven fights in a row and is without a defeat dating back to September 2020. A significant bump in competition should be forthcoming for Pereira. He deserves it.
Fight booked versus Oleksiejczuk

January 9, 2024
Pereira is scheduled to face Michal Oleksiejczuk in a middleweight fight at UFC 299 in Miami on March 9, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Pereira will look to improve his winning streak to seven fights. Oleksiejczuk is trying to build a winning streak of his own, having last beaten Chidi Njokuani via punches at UFC Fight Night 225.
First knockout win since 2019
MiddleweightUFC
October 14, 2023
Pereira defeated Andre Petroski via TKO (punches) at 1:06 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a massive result for Pereira, who last time we saw him, was missing weight for a scheduled welterweight fight against Stephen Thompson that ended up being cancelled. He got to fight at middleweight here and essentially finished Petroski -- a noted grappler -- with one massive right hand. Michel hadn't had a knockout win since May 2019 against Danny Roberts, so it was very nice to see his trademark power return despite competing at a higher weight class. It sure seems as if 185 pounds is the future home for the 30-year-old Brazilian. He'll also walk away with a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts here.
