Buyalsky was drafted 92nd overall by the Avalanche at the 2021 NHL Draft on Saturday.

ANALYSIS
This was Buyalsky's third year of draft eligibility, as wasn't selected in either 2019 or 2020. A native of Kazakhstan, Buyalsky came over and spent the season in the USHL and played well (15 goals, 32 points in 36 games) for Dubuque. He's a big kid (6-foot-3, 180 pounds) who should be able to stay in the middle moving forward. Given his advanced age, it's imperative Buyalsky makes an immediate impact when arriving on campus at the University of Vermont this coming fall.
