Barron, who has been out with an upper-body injury, could return to action versus Colorado on Monday, per Arpon Basu of The Athletic.

Barron has been sidelined for the last five games due to his upper-body issue. Prior to his absence, the 21-year-old blueliner was producing well offensively with one goal, two assists and six shots in his last five contests. If Barron is given the all-clear, he could bump Chris Wideman from the lineup.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
The No. 25 overall selection by the Avalanche in 2020, Barron was shipped to Montreal at the trade deadline in the deal which brought Arturri Lehkonen to Colorado last season. Considering the Avalanche went on to win the Stanley Cup, it's safe to say they were happy with the end result. From Montreal's standpoint, Barron is a 20-year-old stay-at-home defender that plays a physical style, but he doesn't project to offer much from an offensive standpoint. You can probably do better on draft day, even in keeper/dynasty formats.
