Seth Jarvis

22-Year-Old Right WingRW
Carolina Hurricanes
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Jarvis had a solid rookie campaign, contributing 17 goals and 40 points in 68 contests in 2021-22 while averaging 13:53 of ice time. However, despite seeing a jump to 16:12 per game last season, his offensive production stayed flat with him recording 14 goals and 39 points in 82 outings. Of course, he's just 21 years old, so he shouldn't be judged too harshly for some growing pains. He still has plenty of upside and is being put in a position to succeed as part of Carolina's projected first line. Jarvis also had an encouraging showing in the 2023 playoffs, providing five goals and 10 points in 15 appearances, which might be a preview of things to come in the near future. Look at him as a decent breakout candidate, and give him serious consideration as a mid-to-late round pick in standard formats. Read Past Outlooks

Three points in win

April 22, 2024
Jarvis tallied a goal and added two assists in Monday's 5-3 victory over the Islanders in Game 2.
ANALYSIS
Jarvis set up Teuvo Teravainen's power-play marker in the second period before cutting Carolina's deficit to 3-2 in the third, beating Semyon Varlamov with a wrister from the circle. Jarvis would add a third point with a second assist on Sebastian Aho's game-tying goal later in the frame. The 22-year-old winger is coming off a breakout campaign where he posted 33 goals and 67 points in 81 games, including 10 points (six goals, four assists) in his final nine regular-season contests.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Expected to sit Tuesday
RWCarolina Hurricanes
April 16, 2024
Jarvis may be rested against Columbus on Tuesday after missing the game-day skate, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jarvis is ending the year with a strong run of form, having racked up four goals and one assist in his last three appearances. With Andrei Svechnikov also in line to sit out Tuesday, it could mean elevation to top-six minutes for Martin Necas and Jesper Fast versus the Blue Jackets. For his part, Jarvis should be considered a near-lock to reclaim his spot in the lineup for the playoffs.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Carolina didn't plan on giving Jarvis a full-time role last season as a 19-year-old but the rookie played so well in training camp and throughout the year that he left them no choice. Jarvis finished the season with 17 goals and 40 points in 68 games. He added a half-dozen points with the man advantage. Jarvis is a candidate for a breakout season given his youth and the quality team he plays for, as long as he's fully healthy entering training camp. Jarvis suffered a concussion in Carolina's Game 7 loss to the Rangers in the second round of the playoffs and was still dealing with symptoms as of a few days later. If the health reports are fine, consider him a solid mid-to-late round pick.
