Morgan doesn't know the details of Gross's contract, or even what team Gross will be joining, but the unrestricted free agent will be leaving Arizona. He didn't get much playing time with the Coyotes, notching only nine NHL appearances over the past two seasons, but Gross flashed some offensive upside with four assists in that limited action.

2020 Fantasy Outlook
After suiting up for two games with the Coyotes last season, Gross projects as a depth defenseman in Arizona for the 2020-21 campaign. The 25-year-old is coming off two consecutive AHL seasons with at least 25 points, including 10 goals during the 2019-20 season. Gross was a four-year standout at Notre Dame before beginning his minor-league career, scoring 36 goals and 121 points in his collegiate career. The 5-foot-10 defenseman may be a healthy scratch more often than not but figures to add some decent insurance on Arizona's blue line.
