SLATE PREVIEW

Connor McDavid's Oilers have a two-game date with Auston Matthews' Leafs, and there's no question that, as of this moment, the Leafs have been the better team. If the Oil lose both, will they make a move? This is the marquee matchup of the night -- puck drop is at 7 p.m. EST. Frederik Andersen is 12-0-1 with a .928 Sv% all-time against the Oilers, and the Leafs are 15-4-0 against Edmonton since 2010.

Also on the docket: The Sharks get a second crack at the Blues after blowing a 2-0 lead and losing 5-4 (9 p.m.), the Wild face the Ducks again after losing 1-0 (9:30 p.m.), the struggling Canucks have a tough test against the Habs, who may be the best team in the all-Canadian division (10 p.m.), and the Golden Knights will probably extend their unbeaten streak to four games against the Coyotes (10 p.m.)

GOALIES

Marc-Andre Fleury, VGK vs. ARI ($8,600): He'll be a popular pick in what should be an easy win for Vegas. The Coyotes are playing faster but they don't have Golden Knights' depth or talent, who remain the only undefeated team in a division full of heavyweights.

Carey Price, MON at VAN ($8,200): He looked excellent against the Oilers and the Habs are quickly climbing everyone's playoff lists. This is a very good matchup for the Habs; their balanced attack can overwhelm a very thin Canucks defense, and their deep defense shouldn't have much trouble containing the Canucks' struggling star players.

Cam Talbot, MIN at ANH ($7,900): He's been very good so far and he'll continue to be their workhorse until Alex Stalock returns. The Wild were surprisingly shut out in the previous game but it's highly unlikely to happen a second time; their possession numbers are good while the Ducks' are bad, and they're underperforming relative to xGF. The Ducks are 21st in GF/GP.

Jordan Binnington, STL vs. SJ ($7,400): He should get the start even if he has looked shaky in his past two games. The Sharks can be very dangerous on offense so count on a few goals getting past Binnington, but they're also horrific on defense and in net, which ultimately gives the Blues the edge.

VALUE PLAYS

Kirill Kaprizov, MIN at ANH ($4,800): Kevin Fiala is $6,400 and I don't think there's that much separating the two. Sure, Kaprizov may have gotten lucky against the Kings, but it's unlikely the Ducks will shut them out again, and the Wild have leaned heavily on Kaprizov and Fiala so far. Kaprizov is averaging over 19 minutes per game.

Chandler Stephenson, VGK vs. ARI ($3,800): He scored a goal and an assist and benefitting a lot from playing with Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty. Even though he doesn't play on the power play, Stephenson is a great value play because of the situation he's in. He's on his way to a career season.

Jordan Kyrou, STL vs. SJ ($3,200): Kyrou had two goals on three shots on the second line after Brayden Schenn moved back to center and Robert Thomas was moved to the third line. Kyrou's success maybe shouldn't be so surprising; Vladimir Tarasenko used to occupy this spot, and both Tarasenko and Kyrou are very good shooters. The Sharks are definitely going to allow a few goals.

LINE STACKS

Blues vs. Sharks

Brayden Schenn ($5,300), Jaden Schwartz ($5,700), Jordan Kyrou ($3,200)

The Blues dominated the Sharks in possession, especially this line. They generated 12 shot attempts and allowed just four, according to Natural Stat Trick. The Sharks goaltending and defense will not be tough to beat.

Golden Knights vs. Coyotes

Chandler Stephenson ($3,800), Mark Stone ($7,400), Max Pacioretty ($8,300)

The Coyotes matched up pretty good last time only when this line wasn't on the ice. The trio rocked a 76.92 CF% and did most of the heavy lifting on offense. Pacioretty is worth the salary because he's such a high-volume shooter; through three games he has three goals and 16 shots on net.

DEFENSEMEN

Shea Theodore, VGK vs. ARI ($6,100): He may be less inconsistent than Alex Pietrangelo, but Theodore's offense still gives him the edge because scoring goals is worth way more than blocking shots. Theodore has two assists and 12 shots through three games, continuing where he left off since the playoffs.

Jeff Petry, MON at VAN ($5,600): He contributes in all categories and usually priced lower than Shea Weber even though both defensemen offer similar abilities.

Colton Parayko, STL vs. SJ ($5,000): Until Torey Krug starts picking up some points, Parayko's the best and safest choice among Blues defensemen. He had two assists against the Sharks last game and through three games has nine shots and four blocked shots.

Jakob Chychrun, ARI at VGK ($4,100): His role's going to get bigger and bigger until Oliver Ekman-Larsson's return. He has the most upside on their blue line, scoring a goal and three assists on 10 shots in three games so far. It's not easy playing against Vegas, but in the Coyotes' more up-tempo game, Chychrun is going to play a big role. He's not afraid to shoot, either, which will pick up some fantasy points.
