  • Brown now ranks eighth among WRs at 0.29 targets per route. Reduced snaps in the No. 3 role may help, but he also plays with Evans and Godwin, and so far it's been Brown who is most likely to see a target when all three are on the field.
  • Rob Gronkowski (ribs) missed another game, leaving Howard and Brate in a timeshare again. Brate's playing time rebounded from 38% the week before, but he finished with 3-26-0, while Howard put up 6-49-1.
    • Brate did run eight more routes than Howard.
  • Godwin is averaging 5.7 catches for 68.2 yards and 0.33 TDs on 7.5 targets per game. Disappointing, and it arguably feels worse because his only big game was Week 1. He's still a fantasy starter, but perhaps more WR3 than WR2.
  • Evans is averaging 5.2 catches for 70.0 yards and 0.67 TDs on 8.2 targets per game.

  • Dallas Goedert (reserve/COVID-19) missed the game, allowing Ertz to handle a near-every-down role in his final game with the Eagles (he was traded to Arizona on Friday).
    • Goedert should have a three-down role upon returning. Among TEs that have run 50 or more routes this year, Goedert's mark of 1.88 YPRR ranks 10th. Start him once he's back if you can.
  • Reagor finished without a catch but drew two DPI penalties for 95 yards. Those two penalties accounted for the majority of the yardage on two of Philly's three scoring drives... in case you were wondering how the game (kind of) stayed close.
    • He now leads the league in DPI yardage, despite having none before Thursday.
  • Reagor and Watkins each played five of 12 snaps in two-wide formations (Smith got 12 out of 12, and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside took two).
    • The week before, Watkins got 11 of 14 and Reagor just one of 14, suggesting the former had overtaken the latter as Philly's No. 2 receiver. Now... who knows?
  • The Bucs held a nearly 2:1 advantage in possession, with Philadelphia running only 47 plays (19 rush attempts, 26 pass attempts, two sacks).
  • Per PFF, Jalen Hurts had five scrambles and five carries on designed running plays.
    • For the year, he has 25 scrambles for 183 yards (7.3 YPC) and 28 designed runs for 117 yards (4.2 YPC, but includes kneeldowns).
    • His scrambles account for 26.8% of Philly's rushing yards, a league-high among QBs.

  • With DeVante Parker (hamstring), Preston Williams (groin) and Will Fuller (IR/groin) all out, Hollins handled an every-down role on the perimeter.
    • The Dolphins also used multi-TE formations way more than usual.
  • Waddle played a season-high 94% of snaps, up from 79% and 80% the previous two weeks.
    • He now has two games with 13 targets this year, while his other four appearances have yielded 5, 8, 4, 6.
      • Overall, he's averaging 8.2 per game, with only 15 wide receivers seeing more targets.
  • Waddle has the shallowest aDOT (5.2) among WRs with 30 or more targets.
  • Miami ran 20 snaps in 11 personnel. Hollins played all 20, Waddle got 19, Wilson took 18 and Gesicki got 12.
  • Miami 48 snaps in 12 personnel. Smythe played all 48. Hollins took 47, Waddle 44 and Gesicki 37.
    • Adam Shaheen (knee) was inactive, allowing Gesicki to get more snaps than usual in multi-TE formations. He took 77% of the snaps in 12 personnel, compared to 57% in Weeks 1-5.

  • In two games since DJ Chark's season-ending ankle injury, Jones leads the team with 16 targets (21.6%), followed by Shenault, Arnold and Agnew with 13 apiece (17.6%).
    • The only others with more than two targets over the past two games are No. 4 receiver Tavon Austin (six) and starting RB James Robinson (five).
  • Arnold has played 73% and 62% of snaps in two games with Jacksonville, putting up 6-64-0 on eight targets and 2-27-0 on five targets.
    • He's run a route on 69.5% of QB dropbacks, with just one fewer route than Agnew and two fewer than Shenault in two games since the Chark injury / Arnold trade.
  • Agnew took 68% of his snaps in the slot, where he's taken 70% of his snaps this year.
    • Shenault was in the slot 25% of the time, and Jones 28%.
      • The week before, Shenault was in the slot only 15% of the time.
  • Discovering that Agnew is more than just a return specialist... at least the Jags accomplished something this year!

  • Collins (shoulder) returned from IR for his first appearance since Week 2, putting up 4-44-0 on six targets.
  • Veteran slot man Danny Amendola (thigh) missed another game.
  • Moore took 84% of his snaps in the slot, while Collins and Conley shared the No. 2 role.
  • Akins had season highs for targets, catches and yards, but he played less than half the snaps for a third straight week.
    • He's 22nd among TEs with 111 routes, but he's been targeted on only 16.2% of them and has produced a meager 1.0 yards per route.

  • Parris Campbell scored a 51-yard TD on his lone target but suffered yet another injury.

  • Allen had two catches in the first quarter and three in the fourth. He wasn't targeted at all in Q2 or Q3.
  • Palmer took 31% of snaps through three quarters before playing 90% of snaps in the fourth (he replaced Williams).
  • Cook's averaging 3.5 catches for 39.2 yards and 0.33 TDs on 5.5 targets. Serviceable.

  • Osborn may not have worked out as a waiver add, but he is averaging 5.8 targets per game and 8.9 yards per target. And in deeper formats his per-game averages still look pretty decent (4.3 catches for 51.8 yards), especially after his second TD (a game-winner in OT).
  • Jefferson and Thielen handled full workloads after missing some practice time last week.

  • Marshall suffered a concussion leaving Zylstra as the No. 3 receiver
  • Tremble and Thomas continued splitting snaps in a post-Dan Arnold world
    • Thomas, who is allergic to big plays, had a 40-yard gain to convert a 4th-and-10.

  • Kenny Golladay (knee) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) were inactive.
  • Kadarius Toney caught three passes on six snaps before aggravating the ankle injury that had him listed as questionable before the game.
    • He played four snaps out wide, and two in the slot, per PFF. The same ratio as the week before (24:12), actually.
    • He missed the rest of the game.
  • Shepard returned after missing the past two weeks with a hamstring injury. He played 92% of snaps, and took 63% of his snaps in the slot.
    • Shepard played 19 of 23 snaps (83%) in 12 personnel.
  • Engram has played 68%, 74% and 73% of snaps the past three weeks. And he's seen 4-6 targets in each of his four games this year.
    • He's 20th among TEs with 117 routes, despite missing the first two games.
    • 29.3 routes per game easily ranks Top 20 among TEs, but Engram's been targeted on only 17.9% of those routes and has produced just 6.0 YPT. Opportunity is still there.
  • Dante Pettis! Dante Pettis?
    • Pettis, Johnson and Ross all landed between 42-63% of snaps.
    • In the second half, however, Pettis and Johnson both got 79%, while Ross took only 15%. In other words, Ross was pretty much benched, or suffered an unreported injury.

  • There may not be many targets, and they may not be accurate, but we do have a pretty good idea where they're going...
    • In Fields' four starts, Mooney has 29.3% target share and Robinson has 25.6%. And then Kmet has 19.5%.
    • Mooney, Robinson & Kmet have combined for 74.4% of Chicago's targets the past four games.
  • Kmet got a shovel pass inside the 5-yard line but wasn't able to score. He has two TDs on 68 career targets.

    • The Cards used 01 personnel (0 TE, 4 WRs) on 28 snaps, after averaging 14.8 per game through the first five weeks

    • Beckham hurt his shoulder in the second quarter on a 17-yard gain. He had a 25-yard gain in the first quarter, and caught three more passes in the second half, finishing with 5-79-0 on a team-high eight targets (no other Brown saw more than five).

  • Saubert somehow drew five targets on 13 routes, after seeing three targets total over the first five weeks. He still hasn't played more than 36% of snaps in any game, even with Albert O (hamstring) on IR.
  • The 11 targets tied a career high for Fant, who reached double digits for a second time in the past three weeks.
    • Fant ranks 6th among TEs in targets (42), fourth in target share (19.7%), fourth in routes (181) and 10th in targets per route (23.2%).
    • The only downside, usage-wise, is his 6.6 aDOT.

  • Freiermuth had season highs for targets and snap share, though the latter was only two percentage points above his previous high.
    • Ebron ran just two fewer routes, with Freiermuth only going out for a pass on about half of Big Ben's dropbacks. He needs more than that to be fantasy relevant, but the 7-58-0 receiving line on seven targets is at least a good start.
  • James Washington (groin) played only eight snaps and caught his lone target for a nine-yard gain. He was listed as questionable entering the game, and it's possible he's still the No. 3 receiver post-JuJu once healthy.
    • McLoud took the No. 3 role Sunday night, and played 89% of his snaps in the slot.
  • Post JuJu, Claypool played 78% of his snaps on the perimeter and Johnson played 79% on the perimeter.

    • The Bills were in 11 personnel for 64 of 76 snaps. And Beasley played 58 of those (Sanders took 62, Knox got 56, Diggs got 52, Davis got 17).
      • Interesting that Davis stole snaps from Diggs rather than the others this week. And in Diggs' best fantasy game (9-89-1) of the season.
