• 6:00 p.m: Chaos (C) vs. 100 Thieves (100T)

FATE vs. Vitality

The first match of the day opens cs_summit6 in proper, with FATE and Vitality headlining the Group A opener. Tournaments always aim to start with strong matches, but Wednesday's may prove to be a favorable view if you're a French fan. Vitality, who recently climbed to no. 2 in the world rankings, are heavily favored and could have a field day against a struggling FATE. The map veto is likely to favor vitality unless they somehow forget to ban Train, their permanent ban map, otherwise they have the advantage on every possible map. This match should be incredible one-sided, and when there's a chance for ZywOo to have more impact than he already does against the best in the world, it's impossible to look past him. This looks to be a fast start to the slate, and cs_summit6, as Vitality should dismantle FATE and provide excellent value while doing so.

North vs. Movistar Riders

The second match of the day is a stand-off between the two teams vying for second in a group that should be dominated by Vitality. This match heavily favors the Danish side, though the Spaniards of Movistar Riders have shown their ability to upset anyone. With the superstar of North, Kjaerbye, still out due to injury, they could lack the firepower that saw North upsetting anyone and everyone, though Kristou has shown potential to be a more than serviceable stand-in. These teams have met six times, all within the last six months, and it's gone the way of North every single time, featuring a spread of only three maps. Those maps are Vertigo, Inferno and Overpass, a relatively neutral spread that both sides would be happy to continue. Overall, this is a match where individual prowess should reign supreme, and every factor points towards a comfortable North victory.

Prediction: North 2-0

• MR Players to Target: mopoz ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex)

MiBR vs. Team Liquid

The third match of the day is the North American opener between MiBR and Team Liquid. This is a legendary combination that has produced some absolute classics, and it could be one of the most interesting matches of the slate. This is one of the most played out matches in CS:GO, with these teams facing off 41 times in their history, with Team Liquid taking 29, and the last 11 maps straight. It should come as no shock that the North America side, despite coming into the match on a three-match skid, are the favorites and will be looking to establish themselves of cs_summit6. The veto is likely to end up on Inferno, Overpass and Dust2, the three maps that both sides have played the most in the last three months, and maps that the veteran cores of both are very comfortable with. While MiBR have been in exceptional form, it's hard to look past a strong Team Liquid side, and with controversy after controversy coming after MiBR in the last month, many have speculated on their mental focus as they head into the cs_summit6 main event.

Chaos vs. 100 Thieves

The final match is an extremely interesting, and uncertain, one between Chaos and 100 Thieves. Normally this is a match you'd find early in a qualifier, but Chaos have upset the odds and qualified for the main event of cs_summit6 despite missing their captain and in-game leader Steel, who is banned indefinitely from Valve-sanctioned events. The controversy doesn't end there for the North Americans though, as shortly following a 2-1 upset victory over Brazilian giants MiBR, the Brazilian captain, FalleN, took to Twitter to accuse the young rifler Leaf of aim-hacking. The accusations saw Leaf, and Chaos as a whole, taken aback, and it was implied a formal complaint was submitted to the tournament organizers by MiBR involving the accusations. Since that match, Leaf's form has fallen off a cliff and could see Chaos listless against 100 Thieves as they look to bounce back around their young superstar. The Oceanic side come in on horrendous form, with only one draw and four defeats in their last five matches. This match is mired in controversy and should be a test of mental fortitude on both sides -- Chaos are the underdogs but have been forced to focus out of game as they try and continue their upset run through cs_summit6. 100 Thieves, on the other hand, are the favorites, and will look to finally come out of their horrible form and put their first win on the board to open the tournament. This is the first meeting of these two sides, and the veto should be quite interesting, most likely ending on Inferno, Train and Dust2, three relatively neutral maps that both sides have immense experience on. Overall, Chaos, mired in controversy, playing with their coach and all around underdogs, should struggle Wednesday, opening the door for a confidence-boosting win from 100 Thieves.
