Delhi Capitals vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore: 46th IPL Match Preview

Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face off in the match 46 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Delhi on Sunday. In the previous meeting between both teams earlier in the competition, it was Delhi who came out on top with a four-wicket margin.

The home side is in great position after managing to win seven of 11 matches played and need just one win to secure their spot in the final-four. In their previous match, Delhi registered a thumping six-wicket win against Rajasthan Royals. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of captain Shreyas Iyer, young Prithvi Shaw, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and veteran left-hander Shikhar Dhawan to score bulk of the runs, whereas on the bowling front, the onus will be on the likes of pacer Kagiso Rabada, Ishant Sharma and spin-duo of Axar Patel and Amit Mishra to provide timely breakthroughs.

On the other hand, RCB's story in this tournament is an interesting one. The team with all the star power started the competition as one of the favourites but suffered six consecutive defeats in the beginning of the tournament. However, after everyone wrote them off, Virat Kohli-led unit bounced back with four wins out of the last five matches. Therefore, the visitors will definitely enter the contest high on confidence, more so because of their impressive 17-run win in their previous match against Kings XI Punjab.
