Bound for NFL
December 4, 2023
Washington announced Monday via social media that he will leave Virginia and enter the 2024 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Washington had already played five seasons of college football and wasn't believed to have qualified for a medical redshirt during any of those years, so his decision to enter the professional ranks come as no surprise since he didn't have any eligibility remaining. He spent the first four seasons of his career at Northwestern before joining Virginia as a graduate transfer in 2023 and emerging as the Cavaliers' top wideout. In his 12 appearances, the 5-foot-8, 194-pound Washington recorded 110 catches for 1,426 yards and 13 touchdowns on 143 targets.
