Seth Boomer

Boomer didn't start last year at the top of the depth chart, but injuries and poor play put him there over the last eight games of the season. While rough at first, it proved valuable for the true freshman as he gained experience and got better in every outing. In his first four games, he only completed 37.9 percent of his passes for 153.3 yards per game and three touchdowns versus two picks; but over the last four, those all jumped up to a 65.3 completion percentage for 191.3 yards per game with six scores against two picks. While not a stud by any definition, that confidence and improved play should benefit an offense facing defenses focused on stopping running backs Shamari Brooks and Corey Taylor.
