ANALYSIS
Sheppard is going "all in" by forgoing his three years of collegiate eligibility to enter the 2024 NBA Draft. While logging only five college starts with Kentucky does not make him sound promising, his lack of them is incredibly misleading. Sheppard's excellent scoring efficiency included averages of 12.5 points and 2.3 three-pointers made on 53.6/52.1/83.1 shooting splits across his 33 games. Defensively, the freshman held up his own with 2.5 steals averaged. The 6-foot-3, 187-pound guard's starts helped him display more versatility, with averages of 6.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists. After being named SEC Freshman of the Year and to the All-SEC Second Team, Sheppard is expected to be a top-10 selection in this year's draft, potentially even top-five.
