Back in Division I with UMBC
Banks announced June 7 that he has committed to UMBC, joining the program as a transfer from JuCo program Odessa College, VerbalCommits.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After spending the 2021-22 season with Western Carolina, Banks will make his return to the Division I ranks after a one-year stop over in junior college. He started in 30 of his 33 appearances for Odessa College in 2022-23, averaging 7.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 19.6 minutes per contest. The 6-foot-2 guard will have up to two years of eligibility remaining and will be able to compete right away for UMBC in 2023-24.
