Ruffin (face) announced Friday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Portland State, joining the program as a transfer from Omaha.
ANALYSIS
Ruffin entered his name into the transfer portal back in early March and evaluated his options for more than two months before settling on Portland State. The 6-foot-5 wing averaged 13.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 25.5 minutes per game in 2020-21 before his season was cut short when he fell face-first on a layup attempt and suffered some small facial fractures. He'll have up two years of eligibility remaining at Portland State, and Ruffin should be in contention for a starting role right away with his new program.
