ANALYSIS
Benson spent the last three years at Texas Tech, so he'll be a familiar face for incoming head coach Chris Beard, who left the Red Raiders for Austin following the 2020-21 season. During his time in Lubbock, Benson consistently held a reserve role, with his best season coming in 2019-20, when he averaged 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 9.6 minutes per contest. Benson will have three years of eligibility to use at Texas, but he's unlikely to see a larger role than he held at Texas Tech.
