Wheeler announced via Twitter on Monday that he will transfer to Kentucky.
ANALYSIS
Wheeler announced a month ago that he would declare for the 2021 NBA Draft and enter the transfer portal. He will likely get feedback from scouts to learn what he has to work on at the next level, but this is a massive get for Kentucky. The Wildcats lost their starting point guard in Devin Askew, so Wheeler should come right in and lead the show. The 5-10 guard averaged 14.0 points, 7.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game last season with Georgia.
