Griffin declared for the 2021 NBA Draft on Monday and is expected to sign with an agent to forgo his remaining eligibility at Syracuse, Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Griffin has played three seasons of collegiate ball, but he didn't break out until transferring from Illinois to Syracuse ahead of the 2020-21 season. He was a full-time starter in his lone campaign with the Orange, averaging 13.3 points and 5.8 assists per game while making strides on the defensive end with 1.6 rejections per contest. Though Griffin would have had up to two seasons of eligibility left to continue to work on his craft, he'll ultimately decide to take the next step, leaving a void for Syracuse heading into 2021-22.
