Admiral Donovhan Schofield was born in 1997 in the Westminster area of London, England. His parents are Dawn and Anthony Schofield. His father Anthony is a retired Senior Chief with the U.S. Navy. His older brother, O'Brien
Schofield, played college football at Wisconsin before playing seven seasons in the NFL, which included winning a Super Bowl with the Seahawks. Admiral played his high school ball at Zion-Benton Township in Zion, Illinois. Schofield scored 23 points and grabbed 18 rebounds during his final high-school game, a Class 4A regional championship versus Stevenson. Schofield also played football and ran track in high school. Schofield led second-seeded Tennessee to the 2019 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in his senior season. The United Kingdom native collected 21 points and nine rebounds in a tough overtime defeat to Purdue. Schofield was named to the Associated Press All-American Honorable Mention list in 2019 after averaging 16.5 points and 6.1 rebounds. He also garnered All-SEC first-team honors and ranked fifth in the SEC in scoring while leading the conference in made field goals with 238. The small forward also registered a career-high 30 points and six three-pointers in a victory over top-ranked and previously unbeaten Gonzaga in December 2018. He posted double-digit points in 33 of 37 games as a senior. One year prior as a junior, Schofield helped guide Tennessee to the SEC Title game, where he scored 22 points in a loss to Kentucky. Schofield was drafted by the 76ers at No. 42 overall in the 2019 NBA Draft.

The second-rounder out of Tennessee didn't get too much run in his rookie season with Washington, logging just 11.2 minutes per contest across 33 games. Schofield averaged 3.0 points and 1.4 boards in his limited appearances. He logged at least 20 minutes in just six games and started two contests in his inaugural campaign. Preceding the 2020 NBA Draft, he was dealt to the Thunder for the rights to the 37th pick, thus ending his tenure in Washington. He may get some run with the rebuilding Thunder, but Schofield is likely to start the season buried on the depth chart behind established players.
Schofield landed on the Wizards with the 42nd overall pick in the 2019 Draft. A 6-foot-6, 241-pound senior out of Tennessee, Schofield secured First Team All-SEC (Coaches) honors last season. He averaged 16.5 points (47.4 FG%, 41.8 3P%, 69.8 FT%), 6.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 31.8 minutes. Schofield's five summer league performances were underwhelming, as he averaged 6.8 points on 5.2 shots and 3.2 rebounds in 18.0 minutes. With the Wizards in the midst of a deep rebuild, Schofield should be given plenty of opportunities to see the court and play through mistakes. His competition on the wing is light, as he'll be looking to beat out Jordan McRae, Jemerrio Jones, Troy Brown, CJ Miles and Isaac Bonga for minutes. If everything goes right, Schofield might return some deeper league fantasy value as a scorer and three-point shooter.
