Weekly Pitcher Rankings: Towering Above the Rest

Weekly Pitcher Rankings: Towering Above the Rest

This article is part of our Weekly Pitcher Rankings series.

Doing rest-of-season projections or rankings of this nature and having a bit of OCD isn't the ideal combination. Saving an updated projections file or posting rankings is an invitation for another player to be injured. Friday was a double whammy with both Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom leaving their respective games early. However, each is penciled for their next start.

We're looking at another busy week with 99 games on the docket, but the number of two-start options isn't as populous with so many teams deploying six-man rotations. Further, Wednesday features what could be an Opening Day slate so these aces only get one start. The result is Tyler Glasnow is leaps and bounds ahead of the pack. The Rays ace is having a Cy Young caliber season and should be in the conversation to start the All-Star game.

I pull the schedule from the Projected Starters grid, so please send all rotation-specific questions in that direction.
