Arena Football DFS: DraftKings Week 11 Plays

DraftKings' Arena Football League (AFL) contests are back in Week 11 with a one-game Showdown slate. RotoWire will be providing lineup suggestions for each of the 13 weeks of the AFL regular season, the two weeks of the playoffs and the ArenaBowl.

DraftKings AFL lineups consist of one Captain spot, which sees the player's salary and fantasy points both multiply at a rate of 1.5x, and five Flex positions. The lack of positional specifications means that one could potentially compose a lineup consisting of players from just one position. However, for our purposes, we'll strive to highlight players from at least the top two fantasy-producing positions, quarterback and wide receiver.

Note: Please keep in mind that these are merely recommendations on certain players and are not intended to constitute a lineup that fits under DraftKings' $50,000 salary cap. In fact, the cumulative salary of the players suggested weekly will often check in well over that figure.

Week 11 AFL Plays

Captain: Warren Smith, QB, AC vs. PHL ($14,400):

Smith appears set for another run as the Blackjacks' starting QB in Week 11, and the way he's performed thus far, he's making a formidable case to keep the job for the remainder of the season. Smith's most recent success came at the expense of the Valor, as he compiled seven total touchdowns on the way to racking up 41.86 fantasy points (standard scoring) and helping AC rack up a franchise-record 70 points. Smith also performed well against the Soul in Week 8, the contest in which Randy Hippeard suffered the knee injury that paved the way for Smith to enter the starting lineup. Philadelphia has been excellent on the ball-hawking front with a league-leading 14 interceptions, but they've also yielded 48 touchdown passes and 237.2 passing yards per contest. When considering either of the two QBs for the Captain's spot, I give Smith the edge.

Flex: Dan Raudabaugh, QB, PHL at AC ($9,200):

With just one game on the slate, having both starting quarterbacks on your roster is very likely to prove a viable strategy. Raudabaugh wasn't in long versus AC in his last encounter with them in Week 8, as a highly efficient performance by the Soul led to him getting the hook after just 18 pass attempts during the blowout win. The competition could be a lot tighter this week with the red-hot Smith under center for the Blackjacks, and it's also worth noting AC comes in second in the AFL in completions allowed (204). They also haven't been very efficient at taking the ball away (eight interceptions), which also bodes well for Raudabaugh's candidacy. While it may take him plenty of attempts to get to a strong return, Raudabaugh is a near-essential piece in the Showdown slate.

Flex: Antwane Grant, WR, AC vs. PHL ($8,600):

Grant continued his multi-week tear in Week 10, racking up another four touchdown receptions and a 100-yard effort at the expense of the Valor. That means eight of Grant's 12 receiving touchdowns on the campaign have come in the last two games alone, contests in which he's scored 55.7 and 45.7 fantasy points, respectively. Just as important, those are also the two full games Smith has started thus far. Grant missed the Week 8 battle against the Soul, but he did compile a solid 4-47-1 line against them in the opener when he was just getting his feet wet in the offense. Given the aforementioned 48 scores through the air already allowed by Philadelphia and Grant's clear rapport with Smith, he's highly worthy of consideration despite the big price bump.

Flex: Darius Prince, WR, PHL at AC ($8,200):

Prince doesn't come cheap, but on a one-game slate and as one of Raudabaugh's top targets, he's certainly worthy of consideration. He's averaged 28.2 fantasy points in four away contests thus far this season, and he offered a tangible reminder of his upside in Week 10 after a couple of more modest games by posting a 7-91-3 line that generated 34.1 fantasy points. Prince has at least one touchdown in every game this season, and he's averaged a solid 19.2 fantasy points in two prior meetings against the Blackjacks. Given the volume he typically sees and AC's penchant for giving up plenty of high-percentage completions, I like Prince's prospects in Week 11.

Flex: BJ Bunn, QB, PHL at AC ($6,200):

Bunn has progressively carved out a larger role game to game in the Soul offense, and that was on display once again in Week 10 against the Empire. The rookie logged a career-best seven receptions against Albany, two of which went for touchdowns. Surprisingly, Bunn saw a $400 price drop following that performance, an anomaly that should be capitalized on. Bunn posted a solid 5-44-1 line against the Blackjacks in Week 8 while in the early stages of making his mark on offense, and he has all nine of his scores for the season in the last five contests. With the momentum he's built up over the last few games, Bunn checks in as the best potential value play of the week.

Flex: Rashad Still, WR, AC vs. PHL ($5,800):

Much like his teammate Grant earlier in the season, Still is quietly but steadily making a bigger mark in the Blackjacks offense. Still has notched 23 of his 33 receptions on the campaign over the last three games, as he, too, appears to be a prime beneficiary of Smith taking the reins of the offense. The rookie has eclipsed over 70 receiving yards in the last two contests as well, and last week's 10 receptions against the Empire qualified as a career high. Finally, if you believe in DFS birthday narratives, give Still extra consideration on that front, too – he'll turn 22 on Saturday.
