Returning in Round 22
FGeelong Cats
August 11, 2021
Smith (rest) will play in Round 22 versus St. Kilda, per AFL Ratings.
ANALYSIS
Smith sat out last week for rest, but he's ready to return after a one-match absence. He's topped 90 fantasy points in six of his last seven games, so he's likely to be a productive addition to virtual rosters.

Looking to return after rest
FGeelong Cats
Rest
August 10, 2021
Smith (rest) is listed as a test to return in Round 21 against St Kilda.
ANALYSIS
Smith didn't feature in Round 21 but should play if he makes it through training. Before taking the week off, Smith had recorded over 20 disposals in six of his last seven games.
Takes nine marks in win
FGeelong Cats
July 31, 2021
Smith recorded 26 disposals (20 kicks, six handballs) and made nine marks during Saturday's 62-42 win over North Melbourne in Round 20.
ANALYSIS
Smith upped his numbers in each of the past three weeks with better disposal tallies to go with 28 marks made during this stretch. Though his possession isn't substantial enough to record the highest fantasy scores, Smith offers plenty of production as a versatile forward.
21 disposals, seven marks in loss
FGeelong Cats
June 24, 2021
Smith compiled 21 disposals, seven marks and a pair of goals Thursday as Geelong fell to Brisbane 94-50 at Gabba.
ANALYSIS
Smith's 15 kicks and six handballs left him one of six Geelong players having produced 20 or more disposals against Brisbane, while his two majors tied him with Zach Tuchy as the Cats' leader for goals in the defeat. The 32 year-old has now combined for 190 fantasy points in his last two appearances alone and exits Round 15 currently ranked the team's No. 4 in fantasy score per game (91.64) behind Cameron Guthrie, Mitchell Duncan and Thomas Stewart.
Logs 27 disposals, 11 marks in win
FGeelong Cats
May 14, 2021
Smith scored one behind to go with 27 disposals (20 kicks, seven handballs) and made 11 marks during Friday's 67-48 win over Saint Kilda.
ANALYSIS
Smith doesn't have nearly as much scoring potential as someone like Mitchell Duncan, but he's logged at least 10 marks on four occasions this season and has only dipped below 20 disposals once. When looking for someone capable of better numbers from a forward role or in the midfield at a lower price, Smith could fit the bill.
Solid in loss
FGeelong Cats
March 20, 2021
Smith scored two majors and one behind to go with 21 disposals (15 kicks, six handballs) and made six marks during Saturday's 103-91 loss to Adelaide.
ANALYSIS
Smith has already scored nearly as many points in one match as he did in all of last season. While it may not be likely that he can keep up the pace, the rest of his production is solid for a defender and worth monitoring in the right situation.
