Buckley suffered was is believed to be an ACL injury to his left knee Saturday as GWS outpaced Melbourne 64-55 at MCG, AFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Buckley, who had appeared in each of GWS' 14 previous appearances, suffered the injury after colliding with James Harmes on a contested mark and landing awkwardly, causing his left knee to buckle. Club trainers confirmed following the match that the defender had suffered a suspected ACL injury and will likely miss the remainder of the 2021 season.
