Shoulder
August 10, 2021
McKay (shoulder) is "highly unlikely" to feature in Round 22 against Port Adelaide, according to Director of High Performance Andrew Russell.
ANALYSIS
McKay took a heavy hit when falling on the ground and will need to get clearance later in the week in order to play. With a decent lead in the goalscoring race, McKay can come close to winning the Coleman Medal even without playing again this season.
Hurts shoulder in loss

Shoulder
August 7, 2021
McKay suffered a shoulder injury during the Round 21 loss to Gold Coast, according to Luke Michael of AFL.com.
ANALYSIS
McKay also scored one goal and made eight marks during the contest, but it was during his fourth quarter effort that it became clear he was still nursing an injury late in the game. One can only hope that he's able to play in the final weeks of the season, but time will tell if that happens.
Has chance to play

Toe
July 27, 2021
McKay (toe) has an "outside chance" to play in Round 20 against St Kilda, according to Director of High Performance Andrew Russell.
ANALYSIS
McKay has a six-goal margin at the top of the scoring charts and will need to get onto the field if he wants this season's Coleman Medal. Even if he's included in the initial lineup, McKay's fitness is likely to be a last-minute decision made this week.
Out with toe injury
FCarlton Blues
Toe
July 22, 2021
McKay (toe) will miss Round 19 versus North Melbourne.
ANALYSIS
McKay is battling a toe injury, and the forward is expected to be listed as a test for Round 20 versus St. Kilda. He had scored at least two goals in each of his last five matches, so he'll be a noticeable absence this week. Matthew Owies will enter the 22 this week.
Scores four in win
FCarlton Blues
July 18, 2021
McKay scored four goals to go with 10 disposals (eight kicks, two handballs) and made six marks during Sunday's 91-62 win over Collingwood in Round 18.
ANALYSIS
McKay continues to lead the Coleman Medal race with a 10-goal gap at the top of the scoring charts after Sunday's effort. Unfortunately, he doesn't get enough possession to rack up serious fantasy numbers, but he's scores often enough to be worth the pick at the right price.
