Kicks three goals in huge win
FMelbourne Demons
August 15, 2020
Spargo finished with seven disposals (six kicks, one handball), three goals, two marks and two tackles in Saturday's 100-44 victory over the Magpies.
ANALYSIS
The Demons were unstoppable, torching the hapless Magpies in what was certainly a statement victory. Spargo booted all three of his goals in a dominant second term, helping the Demons to their third consecutive victory in excess of 50 points. It was their highest score for the season and has them now sitting inside the half of the ladder. Prior to Saturday, Spargo had kicked only one goal all season and so this should be viewed as somewhat of an outlier.

Spargo rolled his ankle in a reserve match over the weekend and is questionable to play in Round 6 against Gold Coast.
ANALYSIS
Spargo hasn't played since Round 1 thanks to a breach in COV-19 protocol and a lack of fitness, but now he's added an injury to his list of reasons to miss time. He was seen in a boot during training and his status could come down to the wire.

Spargo's return would have come a week earlier had the Demons' round 3 tilt not been suspended. He didn't play in round 2 but did post eight disposals and one mark in the season opener versus West Coast back in March.

Suspension
June 16, 2020
Spargo (suspension) has taken his suspension in stride and is priming for a return in Round 4, The Age reports.
ANALYSIS
Unlike teammate Kysaiah Pickett, who had just one game to sit, Spargo still has another game remaining before he will be eligible to take the field. Spargo did take part in Round 1 but failed to score while racking up just eight disposals and a mark versus West Coast.
