Out another week
DWest Coast Eagles
May 25, 2021
Witherden (groin) will miss at least Round 11 against Essendon, according to GM Craig Vozzo.
Witherden first missed Round 10 with a groin issue and pulled up sore again this week. With a cautious approach being taken, Witherden can't play just yet. In five games, Witherden has bookended fantasy scores in the seventies with games over 120 points, so his value is rather unstable.

Witherden won't play in Round 10 against the Giants on Sunday due to a groin injury.
Witherden is coming off a productive performance last week but won't be available versus Greater Western Sydney. It's unclear if the injury will affect his availability beyond Round 10. Jackson Nelson will replace him in the lineup for West Coast.

Witherden accounted for 30 disposals, 12 marks, two tackles and a single clearance en route to a 127-point fantasy performance Sunday as West Coast routed Adelaide 106-76 at Optus Stadium.
Witherden matched teammate Jake Waterman with a game-high 12 marks, tied Andrew Gaff for the second-most disposals by a West Coast player and set a season-high for rebound 50s with 10 on Sunday. The 22 year-old has averaged an impressive 94.6 fantasy points per game since making his West Coast debut on April 16 and seems a lock for significant playing time even when Shannon Hurn returns from injury for the Eagles.

Witherden recorded 30 disposals (21 kicks, nine handballs) and made nine marks during Friday's 103-76 win over Collingwood.
Witherden made his season debut for the Eagles thanks to multiple injuries in the usual starting lineup and he became one of the highlights of the day. He only played six times last season for Brisbane but could make himself a fantasy and lineup regular with more performances like this one.
