26 disposals, six marks
DCarlton Blues
May 22, 2021
Docherty seized 26 disposals, six marks, five tackles and four clearances Saturday as Carlton defeated Hawthorn 86-63 at MCG.
ANALYSIS
Docherty posted double-digit kick and handball totals for a second-consecutive week and just the second time this season in Saturday's contest. He too set a new yearly mark for inside 50s (6) and brought his aggregate for tackles over his last two showings to 11 in the victory. The 27 year-old has remained a dominant fantasy presence since a hiccup of a performance (77 points) to kick off the month of May, averaging 112.3 points a game in his three appearances since then. That, to no small degree, is the reason why Docherty is currently chasing only North Melbourne's Jack Ziebell, Sydney's Callum Mills and Adelaide's Rory Laird as the AFL's best option for selection at defender heading into Round 11.

27 disposals, four marks in loss
DCarlton Blues
May 17, 2021
Docherty netted 27 disposals, six tackles, four marks and clearances each and a single goal assist Sunday as Carlton fell to Melbourne 94-68 at MCG.
ANALYSIS
A season-high 15 handballs led Docherty to tie Patrick Cripps and Ed Curnow as Carlton's No. 2 in disposals versus Melbourne while his four clearances bested a previous season-high of two. The 27 year-old has now combined for 229 fantasy points in Carlton's last two outings and is currently one of only four defenders in the AFL sporting a fantasy score per game average of 100 or better.
Leads Carlton w/ 123 fantasy points

May 9, 2021
Docherty gained 31 disposals, nine marks, and a pair of tackles and clearances each Sunday as Carlton fell to Western 107-91 at Marvel Stadium.
ANALYSIS
Docherty paced all Carlton players for kicks (24) and disposals in Sunday's loss, all while accumulating a jaw-dropping (and game-high) 850 meters on the ground. The league's No. 4 in total kicks (162) and kicks per game (20.25) exits Round Eight having now topped 120 fantasy points in two of the Blues' last three outings and currently averaging 102.8 points an appearance on the year, 25th-best amongst all league defenders.
Second strong April showing
DCarlton Blues
April 11, 2021
Docherty amassed 28 disposals, eight marks, two tackles and a single clearance Saturday as Carlton defeated Gold Coast 70-59 at Metricon Stadium.
ANALYSIS
A team-high 25 kicks and the third-best mark total by a Carlton player punctuated a performance that left Docherty closing out Saturday's contest trailing only Ed Curnow's for a team high in fantasy points and recording his second 100-point fantasy performance in as many weeks. April has undoubtedly proven favorable for the 27 year-old, with the Blues defender currently averaging 28 disposals, 22 kicks, six handballs, 10 marks and a tackle and clearance per outing to this point in the month. Little wonder then that Docherty currently paces his team in fantasy score per appearance (100 points).
Another strong performance
DCarlton Blues
March 25, 2021
Docherty recorded 24 disposals (17 kicks, seven handballs) and made nine marks during Thursday's 106-85 loss to Collingwood.
ANALYSIS
Docherty comes up more on the fantasy sheet than in the match after logging 24 disposals for the second straight Round. It probably helps to be on the losing end in these matches, but Docherty will remain a defender with high potential value if he can keep up his touches at this rate.
In lineup for Community Series

March 3, 2021
Docherty (calf) is good to go for the Community Series match versus St. Kilda, Cristian Filippo of Carlton's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Docherty's 2020 season ended with him on the sidelines, but he's back in the mix for the Blues and ready to start as a back. The 27-year-old finished out the 2020 campaign averaging 18.6 disposals -- 13.5 kicks and 5.1 handballs -- and 5.2 marks per contest.
